Peer Review Process

IJEI employs a rigorous double-blind peer review system to maintain the quality and academic integrity of its publications.

  • Initial Screening: Upon submission, the editorial team conducts a preliminary review to check the manuscript’s scope, format, and originality. Unqualified manuscripts are rejected at this stage.

  • Double-Blind Review: Manuscripts meeting initial criteria are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers who remain anonymous to the authors, and vice versa.

  • Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers assess the manuscript’s scientific rigor, originality, clarity, relevance to educational innovation, methodological soundness, and ethical compliance.

  • Reviewer Recommendations: Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendation on acceptance, revision, or rejection.

  • Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the editors make the final decision. Authors receive detailed feedback and may be asked to revise their manuscript accordingly.

  • Confidentiality and Impartiality: All participants in the review process maintain strict confidentiality and carry out evaluations with impartiality and fairness.

  • Timeliness: The journal strives to maintain an efficient review timeline, keeping authors informed throughout the process.
